So every once in a while they come to my door. The most surprising was last Thanksgiving day.
I asked them why would you want to miss out on such a great meal as the smell of turkey in the oven wafted past their noses. One of them looked a little teared up, then they left.
I welcome them in every time the come. I tell them this is a divine appointment, and how Jesus want me to share with them how much God loves them. It's then that they usually leave.

That's a great way to handle them. I usually just ignore them when they come to my door.

I try to be kind-as when in a youth group we did a bit of "canvasing"..its no way to reach people (MHO)
I usually start right out saying what I do not believe a bout Jesus ( the first created being of Jehovah) ..and then speak a bit about the tetragrammaton vs the word Jehovah... they are ready to melt by then. I always take their literature..and do indeed read it (mostly) later on..in the bathroom. its best to hit them with love-they dont feel like they have failed i think. but you wont change thier mind.
